I'm Ian and this is Simon. We are the management team for the England Men's O35s. We set up this service because we wanted our playing squad to have an enduring memento of playing for England at Masters level: one that could be framed, or worn for an event, and would last a lifetime.
Our idea was to award players their cap at an international tournament, and in coming years that should be possible. But we had so much interest from past players that we decided to set up this website to offer caps to past and present players who may never have had the opportunity to have a bespoke cap made for them.
A cap is hockey's traditional way of marking the moment you played for your country. Many Masters players have pulled on an England shirt without a cap to show for it. This scheme gives every eligible player the chance to own one, made to a single design and stitched with their own name and age group.
Each cap is made to order, so nothing is wasted and every cap belongs to the person who earned it.
A traditional honours cap in navy velvet, with silver braid piping, a woven silver band, a silver button on the crown and a hanging tassel. The England Hockey Masters badge is embroidered on the front, and your name and age group on the peak.

Caps are for players who have been selected for and played for England in a Masters international tournament. When you order, you tell us which event and season you played in.
Caps are made by hand and in batches. This is why some of the timelines are longer than you might like, but the batch is made in one sitting when order numbers are large enough.
We will always attempt to expedite the process and deliver your bespoke cap well within the timeline set out, but we also wanted to set your expectations, given the hand-made nature of each cap.
Your name on the first line and your age group on the second, for example OVER 35s. You choose exactly how your name appears, and nicknames or shortened names are allowed (for example, Tom for Thomas). All names are subject to a limit of 22 characters, including spaces, and are stitched in full capitals as shown in the photos.
Yes, as a gift, as long as the player meets the criteria. Enter their name for the peak and your address for delivery. If it's a surprise, make sure you use your own email address, not theirs!
You can change your details until you have made your purchase. As the system is automated, there is no opportunity to amend an order once it has been made. If you have made a mistake with your order, you may need to reorder. So please make sure you are 100% happy with the details you have supplied before you complete your order and make a payment.
Once an order is taken it can't be refunded, as your cap will be in the queue to be made. If something has gone wrong, please send us a message using the form and we'll see what we can do to support you. This is on a best-endeavours basis and isn't guaranteed. In the event of an error, we suggest that you send us feedback before ordering another cap, and let us see what we can do to help you.
We use them only to check your entitlement, make your cap and post it to you. They are shared only with the cap maker and Royal Mail, and deleted once orders are delivered.
